The 2026 return of March of the Goblins feels like the kind of Diablo 4 event people actually notice, because it isn't buried in a menu. You ride out, hear that goblin squeal, and suddenly the whole night turns into loot chasing. The big draw is simple: more Treasure Goblins, a reward track, runes, tribute bags, and a Magnificent Spark. For anyone sorting builds, stash space, and Diablo 4 Items during the anniversary window, this event is worth doing early, not on the last evening.

What the event seems to be doing
There's still some fog around the official UI names, which is annoying, yeah. Players have reported a Kyovashad goblin shrine near the waypoint and a reputation-style board, but not every character can see it. The safest read right now is this: goblin kills can trigger progress, yet the full reward interface may be tied to campaign completion or campaign skip. If you're stuck in Act 3 and wondering why the board is missing, that's probably the first thing to check.

Quick access checks
1. Finish or skip the base campaign first.
2. Look left of the Kyovashad waypoint.

Best farming routes right now
Helltides are the steady route. Not flashy, just reliable. Clear one active Helltide, move to the second one, then keep looping. You're looking for goblins, not perfect event clears, so don't get dragged into every side fight unless it keeps your route smooth. Some players also turn off crossplay to reduce competition, which makes sense in busy zones. It won't magically spawn goblins on top of you, but fewer players sniping them before you arrive is never a bad thing.

How the main methods compare
The dungeon and Horde routes are a bit less brain-off, but they can be faster if the setup lands. Here's the plain version most players care about.

Infernal HordesCan be extremely fastDepends on Chaos Waves

Dungeon and Horde tricks
Nightmare Dungeons with the Treasure Breach affix are the cleaner option if you don't want to race around the open world. If there's a Greed Shrine, find it before killing the goblins, if possible. Nobody has nailed down the exact numbers, so don't treat that as holy law. Infernal Hordes are weirder. The reported fast clear depends on War Plans that push more Chaos Waves, especially the middle or purple path on the right side. Some people claim five-minute completions, but that sounds setup-heavy, not average.

Small things that save time
1. Use Subo and watch the minimap.
2. Bring mobility, not just damage.

Rewards and the stuff players still don't know
The confirmed chatter points to runes, tribute bags, cosmetics, and the Magnificent Spark as the prize most endgame players want. The "six free cosmetics" claim is floating around from video titles, but without names or unlock steps, I wouldn't plan around it yet. Also, tribute bags can pile up fast after the main track, so leave room before a long farm. If you're gearing alts, checking prices, or hunting cheap D4 items between goblin runs, keep the event board visible and claim rewards as you go.
