Rogues chasing the Shroud of Khanduras usually want one thing: more room to stay aggressive when a fight turns crowded. This Unique chest piece reshapes Dark Shroud by giving a short window of damage immunity when the skill is cast. It also makes an Evade during Dark Shroud erupt in shadow damage and draw nearby foes together. The trade-off is a longer Evade recharge, so timing matters. Before planning the hunt, it helps to keep useful D4 items and boss materials organised rather than letting the stash become a mess.

Start with Lord Zir

Lord Zir is the most focused route because the Shroud sits in his dedicated reward pool. Each attempt needs Exquisite Blood, and the reward chest is where the real payoff comes from. Don't treat every run like a solo sprint. A steady material loop is better. Pick endgame content you can clear cleanly, then return to Zir with enough Blood for several attempts. That rhythm feels less draining, and it gives the hunt a proper pace.

Build a material routine

War Plans can make that routine much easier. Set up a short chain of activities that suits your build, such as Nightmare Dungeons, Kurast Undercity, and Helltides. The goal isn't to choose whatever sounds hardest. Choose places where you finish quickly and leave with boss materials or Murmuring Obols. A practical order looks like this.

Run the first activity for materials and experience.
Use the next stop to add Obols or more boss resources.
Repeat the route until Exquisite Blood supports several Zir fights.
Spend the materials, check rewards, then reset the loop.

Use spare Blood at the Cube

If Zir keeps giving you everything except the chest armor, the Horadric Cube offers a second outlet for Exquisite Blood. The Amalgamation recipe consumes five pieces and returns a random Unique from Zir's pool. It won't promise the Shroud, but it stops unused materials from sitting around. Think of it as another roll taken between boss sessions. It's especially handy after a long evening when you'd rather sort resources than run another encounter.

Add chest-piece upgrades

The Cube's Upgrade to Unique option provides a separate, wider search. Feed it Common chest armor, and it can return a Unique chest item. This draw includes the broader chest pool, so it's less precise than Zir or Amalgamation. Still, Common bases are easy to collect through the Purveyor of Curiosities with Murmuring Obols. The comparison is simple.

Keep all three paths moving

The fastest approach is to let each activity feed the next one. Farm materials through your War Plan, face Lord Zir, and turn leftover Blood into Cube attempts. Use Obols for Common chest pieces whenever they pile up, then run those through the upgrade recipe. That mix keeps every resource working toward the same goal. With a clear loop and a little patience, the Shroud is far more likely to arrive without turning the search into a chore, while affordable D4 items cheap options can help you prepare the rest of a Rogue setup.
